Shaikh Ayman Al-Taher
Shaikh Ayman Al-Taher is a Muslim counsellor and caregiver at the “Hospital for Sick Kids” since 1997. The Shaikh also worked for the Multi Faith Council (OMC) of Ontario.
He has earned certificates and specializes in the following areas:
- Certified Multi Faith chaplain
- Certified spiritual counsellor from the College of Pastoral Education and Psychotherapy (CPSP) for Canada-USA
- Certified chaplain from the Toronto Institute for Pastoral Education and the Toronto School of Theology, University of Toronto
Shaikh Ayman is a member of the Imam’s Council of Canada and is a board member and Chairperson for many advocate groups and community organizations such as the “Muslim Children Aid and Support Services”.
Shaikh Ayman is an active Khateeb in the GTA and surrounding areas serving most of the Mosques and Islamic centers.
Shaikh Ayman is a professional personal and family counsellor who uses a holistic approach of counseling (dealing with mind. body, soul and spirit). He is familiar with most of the counselling psychology models and uses them in the context of Shari'a (knowledge of Islamic Theology) in his practice. He is currently in the process of obtaining a certificate as Psychological Counselor. He is an expert in family dynamics and a believer that healthy children come from healthy families. He has also conducted many parenting workshops in different cities across Canada.
